SIR David Attenborough - An Interview - The Population of the World

"There are two things I clearly remember from my youth. The first is a book about animals I received as a gift from a wonderful, arty aunt. The second is being agog at The Living Planet"

One of the men that I most admire is SIR David Attenborough. His interest on the environmental issues, from early on, when those matters weren't yet on any governments agenda, catapults him to the top of the entities that created a global awareness for a viable future regarding  government policies and the necessary viable equilibrium between Man and Nature.

The solutions does not only concerns the change of policies, in a small-term. According to SIR David it concerns relates the changing of mentalities of the world population that tripled on the last century.

Sir David concludes with his thoughts on the Wellcome Trust, an organisation that has as one of its five research challenges 'Connecting environment, nutrition and health'. By committing to this research in this area, the Trust will explore what role it can play in helping to relieve the strain that our planet is under, be it related to food and nutrition, water or the health impacts of climate change.
